I have been googling and a few people are experiencing xamp issues with php..

could i sugest you have a look at your php.ini

Please try commenting out "extension=php_domxml.dll" from your php.ini file and restarting Apache.

also try using this link: http://ip/xibo/index.php?p=display&

also have you followed the instructions at http://wiki.xibo.org.uk/wiki/Install_Guide_Xibo_Server

p.s. if you can get to the managment part and settings, error and turn debuging and server mode test

Cannot find this entry in php.ini

also try using this link: http://ip/xibo/index.php?p=display&
Still same results - 'please wait ...'

also have you followed the instructions at Install Guide Xibo Server - Xibo
    Yep, followed those instructions first.

p.s. if you can get to the managment part and settings, error and turn debuging and server mode test

Yeah, I think I'm going to put it away for today. Thanks for your help. Looking into it I'd rather get Xibo working than use Digital Recall. I think I'll install version 1.03 on a XP VM as the server and see what happens...

I might just crack yet and use Linux! The fact is we are so Windows centric here I'm not too keen introducing non-Windows without a good reason.

@Ben, I hope the SAN recomposed itself. Nothing too serious I hope. Last time I had a SAN have an hissy fit the school was without servers for half a day

I've had it running on windows xp using WAMP.

Did you try a reinstall? of both xampp & xibo.

Also well worth asking on the xibo bug forum, you will proberly get a response in a few hours.

The issue with my SAN is currently being investigated it was only being used as file store for testing vm's and was going to be file store for backups.

Backups were running to a terastation but that has just killed another drive this morning so it hasn't been good so far.

UPDATE: Okay following all the various bits of advice and starting again I have...

Server: Windows XP, No Firewall, Static IP, Latest WAMP Server (not XAMPP) and Xibo Server 1.03

Client: Windows XP, No Firewall, Xibo Client 1.03

Result: Success - it works, now I can play witht he layouts and see if this can replace our OneLan an Powerpoint displays!
