Has anyone else bought the NEC NP200 projector and the found remote to be incredibly flakey?
Has anyone else bought the NEC NP200 projector and the found remote to be incredibly flakey?
Hi,
We have 6 of them and we also have same issue with them, only way to work is point remote on blue button (on/off button).
Have called NEC and they said that this model has only 1 sensor but other has more, we have stop buying them.
Damnit :S We just got another four on top of the six I had previously installed.

As I have said on here before the NP100 and 200 are not NEC units they are merely re-badged NEC hence your dissatisfaction with them when comparing them to other NEC units. I know it doesn't solve your problem at all, but don't give up on NEC as it were the bigger ones are still NEC units.

I hadn't seen your comment on the NP200 until I had already bought this last batchSeems like there will be no help with this crappy remote problem. Wonder if I can manage to send these back and get the 300's instead
Just a quick question with this, anyone know if the NP305 projector is any good? It's the successor to the 300
The Epson X7 outprforms both and has cheaper lamps and 3 year on site warenty.

I have actual installed quite a number of these and yes the remote is flacky, but I always put it down to the battery in the remote, I have found them installed upside down, I have also been replacing them with CR2032's (standard BIOS battery) as the CR2032 is the same voltage, but a 'thicker' battery, which I think is the real problem, the batteries are not making contact inside the remote!
