Hi guys,
Anyone know of a good free video conversion too?. We have purchased a few lovely video cameras, but I need an easy way to convert them into formats that movie maker will accept.
The best tool i've found so far is Prism by NCH software, but it's not free!
Cheers, Ben

That was my initial idea, and WMP opens the files and plays them. Movie Maker is fussier though and comes back with "*.MPG could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from"
Done with Any Video Converter!

18th January 2010, 08:04 AM #10 heard a lot of stuff about this any video convertor - I gave it a go and it failed on all of my mss2 wmv format videos and prompted me to upgrade so was a bit disappointed by that.
I normally use handbrake or super but had to use a trial version of total video convertor to get my wmv's converted

19th January 2010, 08:07 AM #12 We use Any Video Converter and its a doddle and converts pretty much anything you throw at it.
We also purchased AVS Video Converter and thats pretty good too (the free version adds a watermark so that would ruin whatever it is your converting I expect).
