We have some Epson EMP83e projectors, which I'm quite happy with so far. They have remote web management, which is brilliant, and the ability to power it on and off via a web page.

Just wondered if anyone had figured out how to command it on and off without going through the full web page procedure? What I have in mind is putting a button/icon on the teacher's desktop to control the power. Then I can confiscate the remotes, so the kids can't mess up the settings and nick them. Most of all, I want to avoid someone keying in random passwords after we've had a power cut.

The web page is okay, but it means another password in public circulation and/or anyone can connect to the projector and tweak the settings.
