SmartBoard 9.7/8

We have a SmartBoard from Smartech connected upto one of our new teaching computers, its an RM one with 2GB RAM and Windows xp, everything else runs quick but there's such a delay when trying to write on the board using the pens that its almost not worth it.

anyone got any ideas how to speed it up?

Is there a delay when using the mouse cursor, ie just the touch part of the software?

Also what type of boards are you using?

It may be worth changing the lead first, then trying the same with a laptop or other PC connected to that board.

The mouse cursor runs upto speed so it seems just the touch part. Not sure on the model of the top of my head but will take a look (far end of the school)

Try updating the smart software to Version 10. Available as a free download from SMART - SMART Notebook software,*version 10 (Windows)

There was problems with some of the old versions., especially with the drivers for the actual board.

i would recommend you try version 9.7.103 first, i have found this version to be the most useful, and has the best sb diagnostics.
