    Need a free audio resampler

My car stereo, and Alpine 103BT seems a bit unhappy with the way the WMP rips CD's and always returns a 'File not recognised' error when playing from a USB drive. Files purchased from Amazon etc do not have any issues at all although seemingly having the same bitrate and sampling settings (no DRM applied either before you ask).
So what I am looking for is a free audio resampler where I can take my existing MP3 collection which I ripped using WMP and resample it into something the Alpine may be happy with.
It must be quick and easy to use as well as being able to handle bulk jobs.

Foobar2000 + LAME.exe. Foobar will prompt you for the location of the Lame EXE the first time you use the converter.

However, before converting all of your MP3s, I would first try the Rebuild MP3 Stream option in Foobar2000 which is located under the Utilities menu when right-clicking an MP3 to see if that works. It's much quicker!

    Isn't Handbrake just for video?

WinFF is good too or for bulk you can use ffmpeg

    Code:
    For %%A in (Audio\*.*) do ffmpeg -y -i "%%A" -acodec libmp3lame -b:a 160k -ac 2 -ar 44100 "c:\audio\Converted\%%~nA".mp3
you can change bitrates etc. there

+1. I was going to suggest that too.

Btw, the latest version of ffmpeg for Windows can be downloaded from here: http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds (choose either the 32-bit or 64-bit static builds).
