How to stream a live video from a tv capture card (Compro C200 Pro)
Weve got setup at one of our sites a bird box with a camera in. Weve now got 10 eggs that are hatching.
The camera uses the old RCA connection which we brought a tv tuner card for (Compro C200 Pro) so they can record.
What i think would be good now is a live stream on our VLE so everyone can take a look.
Any ideas how i could set this up? Wouldnt know where to start and google doesnt seem much help on this one.

vlc can stream. You could also use windows media server to publish mms links.
EDIT: you'll need Windows Media Encoder 9 to publish to the server but you can link directly to the encoder (don't need the server). Works on XP. From what I remember it worked really well.

Didnt think of that. Wonder if it supports the tv tuner card. Will give it a go when im next onsite.
Was just looking at Ustream as then it would only require one upload of the video and then everyone downloads of their servers rather than the laptop uploading the same content to multiple computers.
It has to be free as there is no money as usual.
