    Projector throw calculations

    If you now the calculations for a given projector and screen please add to this thread and in the future the info can be transferred to the wiki etc...

    Hopefully this will help when people are looking for replacement projectors and can't afford a Casio

    Projector make: Epson
    Projector mode: EB-X12
    IWB make: Promethean
    IWB model: ProActiv 78
    Distance from front of lens to board minimum: 2.4m
    Distance from front of lens to board maximum: 2.9m

    I did look at the Epson one and found it awful tbh.

    The more useful info came from the user manual for the projector.

    This is also a great calculator as it takes ambient light etc into account.

    The other thing I don't like with most manafacturers tools is you have to pick a projector first, I want to be able to input my scenario and have it suggest compatible units.

    Edugeek web project anyone?

    I just use this one every time:

    Projector Screen Size Calculator

    It has never let me down, you select the make and model and then metric / imperial and either tap in what you want or drag the projector to play around

    Those links are all great but recommendations on projectors that have been fitted would be great as real world examples can be more accurate than just what the calculators say

    I will say the Projector Point calculator I linked to has always been very accurate for my needs with Casio, Hitachi, In-Focus and NEC Projectors that I have fitted with it.
