And they have a 5 year guarantee
    +1

Cant argue against the Casio's, its all we buy now.

Unfortunately I need to replace some projectors asap as OFSTED are due anytime and the Casios are not on the cards at the moment :S

Edit: I just realised that the Casios throw length doesn't work with our current installations
Interesting... I've found that the throw distances on Casios (XJ-M and XJ-A series) has always been superb.

    What projectors are these replacing?

We actually replaced our Assembly hall projector with a Casio recently. It worked perfectly for such a huge room.

The screen must be at least 5 meters, its amazing what they can do!

It replaced a 2500 ANSI Panasonic that cost 3k when we bought it new and probably another 1k in bulbs over the last 3 years.

*Ahem* I may have made a booboo with the throw length calculator, between the A and M series I think I can cover all the installations

Quite far back. Med lighting (most of the lights are dead) and all the walls are painted black.

Ok... so Iíve just been quoted for a new sony projector, VPL-EX225 (PDF Linked) it has loads of connectivity and has a lamp life of 7000h

Also +1 for the Casio projectors if you can afford them - they really are the bees knees

Who installed that for you? I'd want them back in to straighten it all up....

    Nice clear image though

We bought a batch (5) of cheap Infocus IN104s about a year ago and so far 2 of them have gone back with the classic DLP chip failure, white/black specs all over the image that increases with time. Can't fault their service though, no quibble 2 day replacement with new unit, better if we didn't have the hassle though. Also had the same issue with identical re-badged Acer units, don't think I'll be buying DLP again, nice they are filter less but don't seem reliable.

Hitachi UST for us, easier and cheaper to install, less affected by window glare, don't shine in the teachers eyes, no ladder training required to service, long filter clean intervals, pretty long bulb life and network management, and network show features.
