yes, but it can get unbearably hot can't it. australia and other hot climates are ok to get away from the miserable british winter between nov. and mar. where you get more medditeranean style temperatures rather than boiling hot summer i assume, but i wouldn't want to stay out there all-year round.

i just don't see the appeal.

Been here since april which was the end of their autumn, and it was just nice, round about 20s.. got pretty blooming freezing down in adelaide june july august, and rained a whole load. Its starting to warm up nicely now, 35 a few days, was 27 today, but even kickin about on public transport in my suite it wasnt too uncunfortable. Once it hits 40 in the summer, I imagine it will be a bit annoying.

But just like everywhere in the UK has central heating, everwhere here has air con, busses trains shops houses etc etc. So its all good. And then theres the swimming pool in the garden to jump in when you get home from work if its too hot :P

The grass is always greener of course.. Come summer ill be missing the snow no doubt

First day went well.. Getting up at 6am was a bit of a shock to the system, but I reckon I can push to a 6:30 lie in once i figure out the busses and trains and figure out the best route to the station ;p

Without disrespecting my last school, this place is head and shoulders more professional. Its probably no different from the most of the folks places on here, but managed wireless, imaging, exchange, an actual server room, and fiber connections were all new to me. So at least I can learn some new stuff.

The other folks on the team are decent too, seemed to get on with them well, so hopefully I'll be in with a chance of staying past my initial temp period...

Its the school hols just now so the place is pretty quiet, probably the best way to ease me in to it I guess..

No reprieve for the summer weather and ties? Surely, you should be allowed to take them off, the heat would simply be unbearable.
