    Welcome to Part 2 of my System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) series – desigined to show you how to get a basic setup up and running in a day not a week!

    So, yet again I find myself starting my blog with "Ive not written in ages, and here's why..."...!

    Well, first off - Ive moved workplaces. A number of you will already know that - but this blog is going to concentrate on essentially the setup of a new network on the side of the old one!

    Why did I move on? Well, after 5 years, all that could be achieved had been - and the system which Id written from scratch (ably assisted by my senior) was in a good state ...

  3. Server Hard Drive Failure

    Had a hard drive failure on what is known as our Recovery Manager Server yesterday. This is a box which sits seperately from our main server room. The main file server has an agent installed which monitors various shares; every time a user hits save, a copy is written to the Recovery Manager Server. Users are then able to recover up to 10 previous versions of any file and folder held in their home area. Its a sort of an extension of Volume Shadow Copying and saves a lot of time and effort as ...
