If you've worked with Windows 7 for any length of time, you're sure to have come across this error sooner or later. Most of the time it's relatively easy fix involving the registry, which you can find here (this works for Vista, windows 7 and 8: User Profile Service failed the sign-in - Fix in Windows 8
However this one laptop was not playing ball. I'd ran through all of the above steps, and nothing, no new accounts could be created, the guest account wasn't working
One (of many) things that created discussion from my last blog post was the total amount of storage we provide to our users in school. Unlike some schools we do not limit quotas for user or shared areas but we do keep it very well maintained via automated and manual processes. Many people seemed to be surprised our total data store was only 500GB for a school with over 1,000 users. People mentioned figures such as 5tb to 20tb of storage which seemed very large to me. Another email tip this week, because there's so much people don't seem to know. ICT Tip 061 - Related Messages in Outlook.doc
I've been doing this job for many years and one of the biggest targets I have had in that time is to make our entire ICT ecosystem "Stable". View today's, yesterday's, or the last 7 day's behaviour by registration group. In fact, add the widget twice to show positive and negative events. Or even create a SLT/SMT Behaviour Dashboard showing summary behaviour for each year group. Build relationships further by commenting on positive behaviour in other classes. Make students aware that you know if they've had a poor lesson and provide support/sanctions.

The solution uses all the Google+ facilities eg Google drive (30Gb per user) , Apps etc and includes the equivalent of Sharepoint web parts for mail, assignments etc. The really interesting thing is the automatic provisioning of accounts and groups from SIMS which are used both within the
