    1. You need to get drivers for the SMBus, network card and graphics. These are available below:

  2. NotFound - Silverlight's most annoying feature

I've posted a new blog post over at my site, detailing how to get a human readable error message out of WCF services in Silverlight. So, instead of being told 'NotFound' for every issue that occurs, you will actually see that you've got permission issues, or missing file issues.

It also keeps track of when an ID was printed (so, if you're doing 700 of them and only get 200 done in a day, you can see where you're up to).

  4. Using the DigiBlue camera in Linux

by , 14th July 2010 at 01:06 PM (Wandering lonely as a clown...)
I've just posted a new article about how to get the DigiBlue camera to work for stop motion animation in Ubuntu Linux.

As the DigiBlue cameras are very Windows oriented, I decided to try and get one to work in a similar fashion in Ubuntu. Sadly, the process isn't quite as fluid but it is a lot more flexible as there are a plethora of software packages available for stop motion editing and video editing, some being ultra-simple (Luciole), others being more complex (Cinelerra).

  7. lzPingLaunch - Windows Keyboard Ping Launcher

by , 24th June 2010 at 01:47 PM (Wandering lonely as a clown...)
I’ve finally got round to rustling up a little utility to allow me to ping a computer without having to open a command prompt. Instead, all a user of lzPingLaunch has to do is press Alt+Period/Full stop, enter the address in the box and press enter.

I intend to grow this app to have a bit more functionality in the future but whilst keeping to a rule of ‘never more than a couple of key presses away’ for ...
