eBay - challange for eLearning pros

1st October eBay announced an agreement to use Joomla to launch a community portal as part of eBay's internal analytics platform. The new community analytics initiative will enable employees to source and analyze massive amounts of data to power ideas and learning across the company.

My opinion:
It looks challanging not only for Joomla Community, but for eLearning software pros too. The integration between Joomla and LMS is a hot topic. They chose popular CMS as an alternative to complex ones and they will do the same for LMS. I guess Joomla and LMS integration is going to become even hotter!

I don't think they will need LMS today or tomorrow )))))
First of all they plan to use social media to activate collaboration: content creation, sharing and open discussion.
Only then they plan to enable employees to source and analyze massive amounts of data to power learning across the company and knowlenge sharing.

It is really possible that in some time (as the third stage) they will come to integration of LMS for knowlange sharing perfection. So, I think Joomla community will have time to interate their CMS and LMS.

Joomla and LMS integration is a hot topic surely. Wonderful opportunity for open source Moodle and JoomlaLMS. I wonder who will be closer to triumph. They will come up soon, will see. Big projects is not my business, it's a pity...

JoomlaLMS becomes more commercial: JoomlaLMS 1.0.7 is released! | Joomla learning management system (LMS)
They integrated discount coupons,sales reports PayPal payment... It is just what I remember. I doubt ebay will make their internal platform commercial.

Disagree. They don't focus on professional training providers. Just added more features for them. JoomlaLMS started from universities and colleges. Now it is used for Ocean Petroleum corporate training of their employees on an Intranet.
