Our first full day in Denver. We are still a little jet lagged and have spent the day having a quick look around after getting up at lunch time. We also had to do a bit of shopping for some things we needed for the stand. Thank goodness for Radio Shack
The flight over in club class yesterday was, to be frank, amazing. You got a cubicle to yourself, complete with entertainements system, a galley and the BA staff waiting on you hand and foot.

Well, here we are, in the BA club world departure lounge at Heathrow after being bumped up a class We now get huge seats that turn into beds, a massage (should we want one) and a whole raft of free food, drink and facilities at no cost at all. All pretty sweet. This, in my humble opinion is karma offsetting the Sofitel we stayed in last night, where a burger and chips was £15 (the cheapest thing on the menu), beer £6 a pint and no other way of getting elsewhere to eat or drink unless you wanted
Well, Shaun worked his magic for sure From the day we went live with v4.0 we've seen an almost 100% jump is visitor numbers with (on Tuesday) a record of 29,883 unique visitors coming to the site. Usually we get about 17,000 unique visitors per day, and we've been though the analytics, botth Google and Woopra and it's not an error, we really are getting that big. We are also creeping up the net rankings and we are currently (according to Alexa.com) ranked at 32,153 on the net. This puts us in
After work today I'm off to look at something. Something called an office, more specifically, something I can call EduGeeks office........
To quote some Marillion lyrics from their song 'White Russian'.
Where do we go from here, where do we go from here
The more I see, the more I hear, the more I find fewer answers
I close my mind, I shout it out but you know it's getting harder
To calm down, to reason out, to come to terms with what it's all about
I'm uptight, can't sleep at night, I can't pretend everything's all right
My ideals, my sanity, they seem to be deserting me

As no one really reads my blog I reckon I can safely drop some hints on forthcoming 'things'.
We have several apps currently in development which should prove priceless to those doing the standard jobs during the summer, and may save our members at least a day of work. The other is a tie-in with a very successful company (actually, 2 companies!) who will enable us to offer a useful service to our members without stepping on the toes of our sponsors.
Anyway, vauge hints they are, but
Its past midnight, and the EduGeek pixies have been beavering away to get us back up and running. I shall post more about exactly what went on later, but in the mean time I would like to thank all of you guys and gals for being patient, using the shoutbox, and for the ones who sent a mail to Fasthosts we've got something special lined up for you.
Thanks to Shaun (ZeroHour) for working his bits off contacting Fasthosts and generally being the best webmaster we could ever wish for.
Well, now the conf is all done and everyone is left happy and content it just remains for me to worry about just how to pay for it!
Don't worry, we will have enough (eventually!), but, if you didn't know, Fasthosts decided to take a years worth of hosting out of our bank with no warning, yes, it was due for renwal (I though we had another 2 months and was going to cancel anyway), but it was galling that they didn't send a reminder email, and that the invoice\receipts was automatically sent
On the way to work this morning, couldn't change gear so had to pull over on the M61. Looks like I'll need a new clutch. Thank God for Green Flag cover, and a local garage that says it may be able to get it sorted by the end of play today. I've just recouped the annual GF costs in one incident!
I should have known that if I brought a second hand car with a towbar it may have been 'overworked' a bit.
When it's not got HDCP (High Defintion Content Protection) as a feature on the chipset.
I recently upgraded my GeForce 7300 low profile HDMI graphics card for the newer 8500GS version from the same company (MSI NX8500GT MTD256EH). Once installed I could never get the BIOS or boot screens to show until Windows (Vista 32bit) had loaded up the drivers when connected via the HDMI interface.
After a little asking around and digging I had found that unless the card has HDCP onboard (as
